About
Emily is a distinguished American Grand Prix Dressage rider, holding the prestigious USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals with Distinction. She earned her Bronze and Silver Medals on Augustus, a horse owned by her father, demonstrating exceptional skill early in her career. Emily's Gold Medal is a testament to her expertise, achieved on Dublin, the first horse she trained to Grand Prix.
In addition to these accolades, Emily has been awarded the USDF Gold Bar, Silver Bar, and Rider Performance Awards at Training, First, and Second levels. Her competitive prowess is further highlighted by scores as high as 80% in the Grand Prix Freestyle. Emily has also competed at numerous CDIs and Championships nationwide, solidifying her reputation as a top-level competitor in the dressage world.
Emily, originally from Boston, Massachusetts, was deeply engaged in the New England Dressage community throughout her youth. Following high school, she relocated to Florida to advance her career in the equine industry and pursue higher education. Emily holds a B.A. in Philosophy and English Literature and is currently attending law school at Florida A&M University College of Law with the aim of establishing an Equine Law firm in Wellington, FL.
Recognizing the significant role of legal expertise in the equine sector, Emily is motivated by the substantial $6.8 billion annual economic impact reported by the Florida Department of Agriculture. She is committed to elevating the equine industry to meet legal standards and address the pressing need for legal oversight in Florida's horse community.
In addition to her dedication to justice and legal reform, Emily remains steadfast in her commitment to her personal equine pursuits. The welfare of horses will always remain a central priority in her life, balancing her legal ambitions with her enduring passion for the equestrian world. Her prowess for justice is exemplified in her role as President of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity Cherry Chapter and membership to the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
